The earth destroys its fools, but the intelligent destroy the earth.

Submit to Islam and be safe. Or agree to the payment of the Jizya (tax), and you and your people will be under our protection, else you will have only yourself to blame for the consequences, for I bring the men who desire death as ardently as you desire life.

May the eyes of cowards never sleep

When I am in the battlefield, I love it more than my wedding night with the most beautiful of women

When I am in the fray, I adore it more than my nuptials with the loveliest of ladies.

If you are truthful you will survive. If you lie you shall perish.

If you are honest you will prevail. If you deceive you shall be destroyed.

Do not say that! How few are the Romans and how numerous are we ! 'An army's strength lies not in numbers of men but in Allah's help, and its weakness lies in being forsaken by Allah

'No matter the size of our forces, we must never underestimate the power of Allah's assistance - and despair if we are abandoned by Him.'

When Allah decides a matter, it is done.

When Allah decrees a result, it is accomplished.

And here I am, dying in my bed, like cattle die. May the eyes of cowards never sleep.

'Herein I lie, expiring in my bed, like a bovine breathes its last. May the eyelids of the faint-hearted remain sealed.'

If Abu Bakr is dead and Umar is Caliph, then we hear and obey.

'If Abu Bakr has departed and Umar is the ruler, then our response is to comply.'

Man intends one thing, but Allah intends another.

'Man imagines a result, but the divine has other plans.'

I have dedicated my life to the way of Allah, Most High.

I have consecrated my life to the path of Allah, Supreme.

Wait a while; there will come to you mounts, carrying lions in shining armor, battalions followed by battalions.

Await patiently; soon you shall see warhorses bearing warriors in gleaming armor, legions followed by legions.
